How to Use the New Hampshire Child Support Calculator
Enter what you know and press Calculate Estimate. The calculator follows RSA 458-C and the 2026 Child Support Guidelines book (Calculation Table DCSS s651 and Worksheet DCSS 650).
- Enter each parent's gross monthly income. The New Hampshire table already accounts for federal tax and FICA.
- Choose the number of children and the parent the children live with most of the time (the obligee).
- Add work-related child care and the cost of adding the children to health insurance, and say who pays them.
- Optionally enter the overnights a year with the other parent to see the parenting schedule notes.
Your numbers are sent with the form, not placed in the page address, and this site does not store them. This is a planning estimate. A New Hampshire court or BCSS sets the actual amount.

New Hampshire Child Support Examples
In each example the children live with Parent B. Amounts are monthly and come from this calculator.
Example 1: One child
A earns $5,000 and B earns $3,000 ($8,000 combined). The table gives $1,348.50, and A's 62.5% share is $843 a month.
Example 2: Two children, B pays child care and insurance
A earns $6,000 and B earns $4,000; B pays $600 child care and $200 insurance. The table gives $2,190.67 at $10,000. B's $800 is subtracted for the shares, so A's share is 65.22%: $1,429 a month.
Example 3: A pays the insurance
Same incomes, two children, A pays $300 insurance. A's adjusted income is $5,700, the table gives $2,150.10 at $9,700, and A pays $1,263 a month.
Example 4: Self-support reserve
A earns $2,000 and B earns $3,000, one child. A's share would be $385.98, but only $271 is above the $1,729 reserve: $271 a month.
