Who Runs This Site
ChildSupportCalculator.xyz is run by Eric John, founder and editor. Eric researches each state's official child support rules, builds the calculator for that state and reviews every state page before it is published and whenever the rules change. He is not a lawyer, and nothing on this site is legal advice.

Our Mission
Child support formulas vary enormously from state to state, and the official calculators are often scattered across different government websites, hard to find, or not built with mobile users in mind. ChildSupportCalculator.xyz exists to bring together clear, state-specific guideline calculators in one place, so parents can get a quick, informational estimate without digging through statutes themselves.
How We Build Each Calculator
Every state calculator on this site is built directly from that state's official child support statute and the guidance published by the relevant state agency (such as an Attorney General's office or child support division). Before a state calculator is published, we:
- Read the current statutory guideline formula for that state
- Note any income caps, low-income schedules, or special adjustments the statute includes
- Cite the official source directly on each state's page
- Record a "last reviewed" date so you know how current the information is
- Test the calculator against official examples or calculators where the state publishes them
Where a calculation requires an estimate (such as approximating net income from gross income), we disclose that clearly on the page rather than presenting it as an exact figure.
What This Site Is — and Isn't
This site is an independent, informational tool. It is not operated by any state government, court, or attorney general's office, and it does not provide legal advice. Every estimate is for informational purposes only and does not guarantee the amount a court may order. For advice about your specific situation, please consult a licensed attorney in your state.
